Positive Thought 1-4-12

Today's Positive Thought came from the mouth of a babe...
THANK THE LORD TODAY!!! Jack's new saying yesterday was Thank The Lord Amen... This morning as he was singing he said Thank The Lord Today... It was too cute


Jack is getting so big, he's crawling all over the place and climbing up on all sorts of furniture too... He was 2.5 years old on Christmas Eve and he's doing very well. The neurologist said that where the blood on the brain/hemorrhage was and because it was a grade 4, Jack should be a vegetable and it should be his left side affected by it. Not only has he defeated what the Drs have said he's opposite, His cerebral palsy mostly affects his right arm and leg and a little of his left leg is affected. He got a Botox shot in his calfs in November to help relax them. Seems to be working a little, we'll be traveling to Marquette tomorrow to see if it is working. He's also going to get an MRI to see how his shunt is doing. HE also wears braces on both legs that look like Superman boots if the botox is effective then we will be getting less restrictive boots. Since last January he started having seizures but they seem to come on when he has a serious virus and we have them under control with medicine. His last EEG says it is Complex Partial Epilepsy.


Here's a pic of our first Snow Day on Drummond Island. Yes I said Drummond Island, for those of you who don't know yet we moved last April to Drummond Island. Paul started up his business and is doing really well. Better than we ever dreamed. The kids are doing well too. Isabelle is doing really well in school, she's 10 now and in the 4th grade! Jack's Therapists come to us 3 times a month and early Head start will be coming to our house once a week and he'll be going to the Head start center twice a month. We do have to travel quite a distance for our specialists but we all really love living up here and it's worth it!

I need to go pack for Marquette, I'll be back posting on-line this weekend. Maybe tomorrow but I doubt it. Have a BLESSED day!!!!
